Amrit Krishi-City Natueco FarmingSustainable & Pesticide Free Farming Solutions
It is the need of the time that we start using organic food with best possible nutrients and also grow it for our people of the society to save everyone from deadly diseases caused by pesticides and heavy chemical fertilizers as well as GMO food. Urdhva has teamed up to experiment variety of methods of farming to help people grow their own food in waste lands, terrace and small pieces of lands free of pesticides and chemicals. Use of Natueco Farming Natueco/Amrut Krushi is a science which uses organic, sustainable and inexpensive methods of farming while considering bio-diversity, natural laws and love for mother Earth. It focuses on the nurturing soil rather than using pesticides on the plants or corps. This perspective is quite different than the traditional perspective of farming and has scientific and spiritual approach towards farming. The methods propounded by Natueco science reduces loss of organic carbon getting converted into CO2 from the soil. It also increases the ability of soil to absorb and retain moisture from air. Natueco science considers waste materials like leaves, shells, wasted food, dead animals and cow dung etc as important nutrition for the soil and recycle all such things we call waste thus solving the problem of waste disposal. It offers high nutritional value in the yields while saving the cost of electrical energy consumption, water and sustains ecological balance and harmony in nature. The difference in nutritional value of the produces has been certified through credible laboratory. This method also focuses to take care of bio-diversity of soil while growing variety of plants and corps together unlike in traditional farming methods. Multi layer farming is also taken in consideration thus giving variety of produces in lesser area. By using Natueco science, quite lesser hours of work is required in compare to traditional or chemical farming methods, soon after the 3rd year of work on the fields thus reducing the labour. In fact Natueco science of farming aims to convert laborious farming into celebrative farming. Natueco requires quite lesser space than traditional farming. A quarter acre of land (10,000 sq ft only) is enough to sustain a family of 5 people offering them variety of grains, vegetables, pulses, bio-diesel, edible oil etc every year while reducing food miles and also giving financial benefits through selling extra produces. The yields are free of poisonous pesticides and no artificial chemical fertilizers are used in the process. Unbelievably, plantation of banana, coconut tree and other vegetables beautifying terrace areas has been done using this science of farming. Hydroponics Method for small spaces Hydroponics is a subset of hydroculture and is a method of growing plants using mineral-nutrient solutions, in water, without soil. Terrestrial plants may be grown with their roots in the mineral nutrient solution only or in an inert medium, such as perlite, gravel, mineral wool, expanded clay pebbles or coconut husk. Researchers discovered in the 18th century that plants absorb essential mieral nutrients as inorganic ions in water. In natural conditions, soil acts as a mineral nutrient reservoir but the soil itself is not essential to plant growth. When the mineral nutrients in the soil dissolve in water, plant roots are able to absorb them. When the required mineral nutrients are introduced into a plant's water supply artificially, soil is no longer required for the plant to thrive. Almost any terrestrial plant will grow with hydroponics. Hydroponics is also a standard technique in biology research and teaching. Urban farming for home through Hydroponics Method: Amrut Mitti can be very well used as natural nutrient rich manure in hydroponic method with mixture of coco peat which has good water holding capacity.
